After the first NJ penalty last night, the camera went to the box and behind the glass what do I see? A Lucic Crew shirt! Thanks to who ever that was!
Thornton had a go early. It’s a shame he lost his footing, but at least he got back up. I wouldn’t award a clear winner as it seemed they both were throwing punches with no one giving out more than they were getting.
Overall sloppy play last night. It was a great team effort to climb back into the game – but no one wants to lose like that. At least they got a point.

I still don’t like him. Good for Bitz for standing up and going at it. The fight started out slow, and Brashear got what looked like a few good shots in at the end.
Bitz is fighting, Thornton is scoring. Who’d have thunk it?

After deciding to sit out the young stars game this past weekend to rest up and heal his injury, Milan surprised his family and old team the Giants.
“I wanted to surprise my folks — I had told them I was going to the Bahamas,” he said. “My little brother was the first one through the door at home and I was there sitting on the couch. I think I got them pretty good. It was a thrill to see them.”

Chara broke the 16 year old Hardest Shot record Saturday night and won his third consecutive Hardest Shot contest recording a 105.4 MPH laser beam. The previous record was held by Al Iafrate at 105.2 in 1993.
Blake Wheeler also took home a new trophy. He was the MVP of the young stars game, netting 3 goals to lead the rookies over the sophmores. This kid has some mad skills.
Marc Savard finished second the Elimination Shootout behind Phoenix’s Shane Doan.
Who could forget Timmy, he came up with save after save.
Lets hope the trend continues and the B’s players can help lead the EAST to a victory tonight.

There are mumblings out there that Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT is a front runner to host the 2010 game.
Bruins vs. Montreal? Bruins vs. Rangers? It’s gotta be an Original Six matchup…

It was reported during the game broadcast that Luch is out with a shoulder injury.
Irony that he knocked out Komisarek with a shoulder injury?

Wheeler’s goal looked 100% effortless. St. Pierre’s was just a bullet. Ryder’s was pretty nifty too after you watch the slow-mo of his stick work.
Thank goodness they were able to win. I hate to admit it, but I got nervous about their chances, especially when it seemed Timmy couldn’t make a stop even when he was in position.
Let’s hope the All Star Break does this team some good.

Wow.
With 00.8 on the clock the Blues goal is under review. Its a goal.
Bruins score 3 goals in 1:39 seconds. St. Louis score 2 goals in 1:19 seconds.
Bruins are skating well in OT, but this was the effort they needed the entire game. I’ll give St. Louis credit this afternoon, they came to play. This ALL STAR break can not come fast enough!!
Here comes the shoot out.
Wheeler, Axelsson and Krejci are shooting.
Wow, Wheeler just smoked Mason and hit the post.
Oshie, recipricated and made Timmy look silly… Blues score.
PJ, stopped cold.
Boyes, scores for St. Louis and win in the SO.
That my friends was AWFUL.

Ok, I’ll give the victory to Mark Stuart on effort and number of punches thrown. However Chipchura should reconsider fighting anyone above the age of I don’t know 6 years old. Kyle looked silly and if you wear a shield and want to go…take it off. You can see the fight here
