Strong showing for the B’s, 5 – 1 victory.

April 19th, 2009

It was a team effort last night. The Bruins came to play and the Canadiens didn’t. A few things worth mentioning from the game. First, Timmy Thomas with an assist. Secondly Patrice Bergeron takes on Josh Gorges (both 6′ 1 and 190lbs). Patrice won that one hands down. I don’t think I have ever seen Patrice with that level of anger and passion. Third point is that Lucic lost his cool last night and took a bad high sticking call. Because of that he was penalized with a game misconduct with an attempt to injure. Reports that I have seen on the net state that Lucic may be suspened until review by the NHL. Lets hope that gets squared away early Monday and he is available to play Monday night.

The Bergeron fight may be the highlight of the post season so far. It showed that the team as a whole will only take so much crap.

It’s a shame Lucic tried so send that same message in such a questionable way. He kept is cool very well until then. Now the Canadiens know they can still get under this skin.

    Awesome game.
