2009 Bruins Development Camp

July 10th, 2009

For the last two days I stopped by the Bruins development camp to watch the future NHLers work out. It was great to see the young talent. Reading all the Bruins blogs it seems the B’s are big on Yuri Alexandrov. I paid attention to him this morning, he had a great session. He is tall but he looks really skinny. He is going to have to bulk up if he is going to play in the NHL. The other notable from todays session (for me anyway) was Rob Kwiet. I thought he looked really good, skated well and was moving the puck really well. Anyone else there over the last few days? Comments?

I haven’t been over to camp yet but I saw some of the guys play down in Providence. One P-Bruin that stuck out to me was Jamie Arniel. He scored a goal in his first professional game which happened to be a playoff game for Providence. I think he has good potential with some refining and learning the Bruins system of play. Zach Hamill is another P-Bruin who seemed to always find the back of the net and always looked good down in Providence.

I agree Arniel looks like a solid prospect. Brad Marchand looked to be a solid player.

One thing everyone can agree on: Miko was a bust! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone look so uncoordinated in a professional hockey rink. He is a big man, but does not appear comfortable in that body of his.

yeah marchand is good too but he needs to learn to stop trying to pick fights/arguments all the time and yes mikko does not play well at all and being as tall as he is makes him look even worse
